Kia ora, my name is Julie, and I am a proud grandparent to two tamariki at Pirinoa School, with more joining soon. My husband and I divide our time between Pirinoa, where we stay with our sons to spend time with our mokopuna, and our home to meet other whānau commitments.
We feel privileged to be part of the Pirinoa community, and I am excited to support the school’s goals and aspirations. As a lecturer and researcher at Massey University’s Institute of Education, I bring experience and passion for place-based education that is meaningful and equitable for students, whānau, and the wider community.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with the kids and wakeboarding in the summer.
