BOT Meeting Dates – All meetings commence at 5.00pm.
2023 Meeting Dates
13 Feb, 27 March, 8 May, 19 June, 31 July, 11 September, 30 October, 4 December
Open to Public
A Board of Trustees meeting is not a public meeting but a meeting held in public, therefore only trustees have automatic speaking rights.
If you have something you would like to share with the Board, please talk to the Chair, Tania Macdonald, at least 24 hours before the meeting date so that it can be decided whether speaking rights will be granted (and for how long) or whether your information is best dealt with at another forum.
You may be asked to leave the meeting if the Board deems it necessary to move into “excluding the public” because of personally or financially sensitive material.

About Me
Hi, my name’s Tania. I grew up in Featherston, attending Fstn Primary, Kuranui College & Otago Uni. My husband Scotty is a Pirinoa school old-boy. We farm just down the road from the school, where our 2 girls attend. The girls are sport-mad, & I love following their pursuits! I’ve been on the board since 2019, & been chair for part of that time. In my 2nd term on the board, I bring consistency & knowledge. I look forward to working with our new team, & supporting our new principal.

About Me
Tena koutou katoa, I grew up on a range of dairy farms around the North Island. I am the second of six children and am a proud Aunt to 3 nieces and 3 nephews. I attended Napier Girls' High School where I boarded for five years before moving to Hamilton to study at Waikato University. I worked on dairy farms as a relief milker, reared calves, sprayed weeds, did fencing and contracting work and worked as a nanny. Following my graduation, I moved to Taumarunui. I taught children aged between Year 3 and Year 6 for five years, coached sports, organised trips, planned productions, sports days and field trips, and managed the school gardens. In 2018 I moved to the Wairarapa and began working at Pirinoa School. My aim is make learning fun and interesting, while allowing children to explore outside of Pirinoa and New Zealand. I love the idea of play-based learning across all levels of the school and enjoy teaching the children about places around our country and around the world.
